En effet, le questionnement de cette thématique se justifie par l’accueil particulier dont fait l’objet cet enfant dans une société souvent conservatrice, attachée à certaines valeurs à la fois religieuses et traditionnelles qui semblent ne pas s’accommoder des procréations hors mariages. C’est donc là, l’intérêt de la présente étude qui vise à questionner le statut social, culturel, politique et même religieux de l’enfant dans un corpus de trois romans, à l’aune de la sociocritique de Duchet (1971) pour voir la perception sociale de cet enfant. The issue of illegitimate children in Nigerian novels written in French is a subject that deserves to be addressed and analyzed. Indeed, questioning this theme is justified by the particular reception given to such children in a society that is often conservative, attached to certain religious and traditional values ​​that seem to be intolerable to procreation outside of marriage. This is therefore the interest of the present study which aims to question the social, cultural, political and even religious status of the child in a corpus of three novels, in light of the sociocriticism of Duchet (1971) in order to see the social perception of this child.
